  8. HOW DO I START?
  9.  
  10. If you have gotten this far then you have
  11. the program files in a directory.  Hopefully
  12. it isn't mixed with other files in the same
  13. directory.  It gets messy.  The steps below
  14. will guide you through the process of creat-
  15. ing an icon in Windows and starting Flashmath
  16. for Windows 3.0 .
  17.  
  18. 1. Start Windows
  19.  
  20. 2. Click File/New from the Program Manager menu. 
  21.    Make sure that "program item" is selected
  22.  
  23. 3. Enter the title that you want to see under 
  24.    the icon in Windows in the top input box.
  25.  
  26. 4. In the command line box enter the complete 
  27.    path plus FLMATH3.EXE.  EXAMPLE-C:\FLMATH\FLMATH3.EXE
  28.    Or you can use the browse feature.  When you have
  29.    located FLMATH3.EXE, click on it in the list box 
  30.    and click the OK button. This will put the com-
  31.    plete file name in the input box.  Just click 
  32.    the OK button.

  34. 5. The icon will be shown in the current window.
  35.    If you wish to move it to another, just hold down
  36.    the mouse button on the icon and drag it to the
  37.    window that you want it in.

  39. 6. Double click on the icon to start the program
  40.  
  41. 7. I recommend selecting the Help option first. This
  42.    will give you a good idea of what is there.
